About Cath Deans

Experienced UK Therapist with over 26 years’ experience

Hello – I’m Cath Deans, an experienced therapist offering EMDR and other effective, integrated therapies. I provide a personalised and sensitive approach to help people understand and change the patterns behind how they think, feel and respond.

A different kind of therapy

Many of the people I work with don’t always know why they feel the way they do. They may struggle with anxiety, overthinking, low confidence, or a sense that life isn’t flowing as it should.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I take a gentle, integrative approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques including EMDR, EFT, mindfulness, and other evidence-based methods. This allows us to work at your pace, in a way that feels safe, supportive and tailored to you.

Experience you can feel

With over 26 years of experience in therapy, I bring a calm, grounded and non-judgemental presence to my work.

My background includes training in clinical hypnotherapy, EMDR, psychology, stress management and communication, alongside ongoing professional development. Over the years, my approach has naturally evolved into a more integrative way of working — combining different techniques, that work really well together, to support deeper, lasting change.

What I’ve learned most is that meaningful change doesn’t come from forcing solutions, but from understanding the patterns that shape your experience — and gently shifting them.

How I work

Our work together is collaborative and guided by you.

I offer a space where you can:

  • Feel heard and understood without judgement
  • Make sense of your thoughts, feelings and reactions
  • Begin to shift patterns that no longer serve you
  • Develop a greater sense of calm, clarity and self-trust

Whether you’re looking for help with anxiety, stress, confidence, or something that’s harder to put into words, we can work together in a way that feels right for you.
